In response to the many requests for reprints that came from the exhibition, we carefully selected the patterns from the vintage sukajan jackets owned by Taylor Toyo that were on display at the venue, and combined two A-sides (the main side) into one, creating a luxurious design that can be called a "double A-side." -The surface features a Japan map pattern from the early 1950s, with an eagle and a dragon glaring at each other with a map of Japan in between. Since there is no "JAPAN" lettering on the back, the eagle is depicted as a large and impressive figure. Also, since the alphabetical place names are concentrated in the west, it can be assumed that this souvenir jacket was sold at a U.S. military base in the Chugoku region or the Kyushu region. The reversible side has a magnificent composition of an eagle and a dragon glaring at each other with Mt. Fuji in between, as if linked to the embroidery on the surface. This is a rare pattern among vintage sukajans, and there is no word "JAPAN" on this one either. Although each motif is slightly smaller, it is not deformed in any way, and is delicately and boldly drawn using horizontal embroidery.
