Product Description: Noise Reduction Rating NRR 33 Made of tapered foam for a soft, comfortable fit Tapered design for a comfortable fit Not made with natural rubber latex Noise Reduction Rating: 33 decibels (when used as directed) Conventional hearing protectors have a noise reduction rating ranging from approximately 0 to 30 (higher numbers indicate greater effectiveness).
How to Use: Using clean hands, slowly insert the plug into the wrinkle-free cylinder. While pressing the plug, insert it into the ear canal. Pull the outer ear outward and upward as you insert it to make it easier to fit. Use your fingertips to hold the plug in place until it begins to expand.
Note: For noise environments where frequencies are primarily below 500 Hz, the C-weighted environmental noise level should be used. Improper attachment of the device will result in reduced noise reduction. Refer to the enclosed product instructions for proper attachment. Although earplugs are recommended to prevent damage from excessive noise, the noise reduction ratio (NRR) is based on continuous noise reduction and cannot completely block out discontinuous noises such as gunshots. Do not cut earplugs. Close adult supervision is required when used by children. Inspect plugs before use and replace if damaged or shows signs of use. Do not use for long periods of time. For single-user use only. Infants and children should not place earplugs in windpipes to avoid suffocation. If you experience pain or discomfort when using this product, stop using it. Information required by EPA: The noise level delivered to the human ear when wearing a hearing aid according to the guidelines is approximately approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR. Example: The environmental noise level measured at the ear is 92 dBA. The NRR is 33 decibels (dB). The noise level delivered to the ear is approximately equal to 92 decibels (A) to 59 decibels (A).
