Its soft, one-piece coreless construction acts as a damper, reducing the feeling of pressure. The unique honeycomb-structure filter effectively blocks the ingress of foreign matter without interfering with the transmission of sound from the earphones. The honeycomb structure was designed through various mathematical tests to minimize the margins between shapes and the outer lines, effectively reducing the rate of ingress of foreign matter while increasing sound transmission.

It comes in five sizes (S/MS/M/ML/L), including mid-sizes, making it easier for more people to find a good fit. It also comes in two packaging configurations: two pairs of a single size, and three pairs each of three adjacent sizes (e.g., S/MS/M), including the highly popular mid-size. This allows for easy fine-tuning when it comes to differences in ear canal size between the left and right ears.
