The BGW22 SH is a US-produced model in the Greco Bg. series from the long-established Japanese guitar brand.
This model features an alder body and a roasted maple neck with a plateless, four-point bolt-on neck joint.
The shape is an evolution of Greco's historic Bg. body shape, incorporating a back cut for improved playability. The top and back edges have different radii, with the back edge being more rounded than the top.
The fingerboard is made of pau ferro, featuring a 628mm scale (commonly considered a medium scale) and 22 medium jumbo frets.
The pickups are a metal-covered original "Vercioso" humbucker in the bridge pickup, aiming for a vintage sound, and an original single-coil pickup in the neck pickup.
Controls include a master volume and tone control, as well as a 3-way pickup selector switch.
The guitar also features a treble bleed circuit, ensuring the same tone at full volume even when the volume is turned down.
In addition, the tone control doubles as the coil tap switch for the bridge humbucker, allowing for a wide range of sound creation despite the two-pickup design.
It uses locking tuners to minimize tuning drift and features a string-through hardtail bridge.
The body color is metallic gray with a matching headstock.
The distinctive pickguard is three-ply and black.

The BGW22 SH was announced at the NAMM Show, the world's largest musical instrument trade show, in January 2020 and released first in the US.
Greg Timmons, a specialist with a long career in the US guitar industry, designed the BGW22 SH. This model was developed under the direction of General Manager Greco (General Manager) and the US design team, who exchanged ideas and prototyped repeatedly with the Japanese development department, focusing on the US market and overseeing production with a focus on detail and a global perspective.
Through extensive consultations with leading guitarists and guitar technicians, this model incorporates elements desired by modern players.
