Made in Japan (Yokohama)
"Hamaobi" is an obi made using the sewing and printing techniques of Yokohama, which was once a major producer of scarves and handkerchiefs.
Hamaobi carries out almost all processes, including cutting, sewing, printing, and packaging, within Yokohama City.
Hama obi are made from 100% cotton. The densely woven cotton fabric has a moderate firmness, and is characterized by its smooth, supple, and gentle texture.
The four sides are finished with triple-fold stitching, a technique developed through the production of silk scarves and other items.
In addition, the papakoso brand name is sewn into the center of the obi, making it easy to identify when holding or carrying your baby on your back, or when folding it.
Hama obi are produced on the same production line as papakoso baby carriers.
When it comes to sewing, we set standards for even the smallest details, such as the number of stitches per 3cm, and when printing, we use environmentally friendly printing methods, and we also test the finished products for free formaldehyde according to baby standards.
The instruction manual has been supervised by a disaster prevention specialist.
In addition to how to carry a baby in your arms or on your back, the book also includes information on how to transport an injured adult, ropes and substitutes for bandages, basic ropework, how to use the disaster message dial, recommendations for holding a home disaster prevention meeting, a list of emergency items to take with you, and evacuation cards.
Hamaobi is a phase-free product that is useful in everyday life and in times of disaster.
