Content introduction
Kidkanevil, a producer from Yorkshire, England, has gained support from DJ Shadow, Bonobo, and others for his dreamy chill beats that mix street music and otaku culture.
Ninja Tune/!K7's project Kidsuke with the popular band Stateless and Daisuke Tanabe has been well received, and their first new album in 4 years has finally been completed!
This work is a soundtrack for a fictional anime depicting the adventures of a ghost child from the underground world in Tokyo. Last summer, Kidkanevil actually stayed in Tokyo, wandering around Tokyo while recording sessions with various Japanese artists, and created a conceptual work that combines his own experiences with the anime's main character. With charming sounds, a glitchy beat that hints at the latest bass music, and delicate melodies that evoke a somewhat broken nostalgia, we can feel the unique city that Kidkanevil is dreaming up.
Guest appearances include Japanese artists Cokiyu, Cuushe, Phasma, Tetsuya Hikita, Chris James (Stateless), and Submerse.
