Does the expansion tank cap need to be replaced regularly?
If the cap is intact, it can be reused, but the cap is designed to release pressure when the pressure inside the expansion tank rises too much, so if the cap is not opened, the expansion tank will crack and leak. But the expansion tank itself may deteriorate over time, or the pressure on the cap cannot be continuously controlled, causing the weak part of the expansion tank to crack sometimes. So, I think it's time to replace it when you think it's best to replace it while checking the condition of the cap gasket.
